Meet Archie, a friendly owl who helps children in grades 3 to 8 read, think and solve.
When Archie needs a fresh hint, the answer your child tapped travels this line. No name leaves our system, and every step of it is written down.
The Shield never calls out. It runs on our own servers and decides locally. If it fails or runs out of time, nothing is sent; what it is unsure about, it removes.
The checks are on the way out. “Never states the answer” is compared against the recorded correct answer before a child sees a word.
The row is written first. What was removed, counted by kind, never the words — and the reply waits for it.

The class text is “Flying on Ice.” The question on the card: in this passage, what does “like being a snail” mean? Four options; the wrong ones were written to catch a specific mix-up, and the item bank records which one.

Not “not quite, try again”. One concrete thing from the text — a sound — and a question the child can only answer by holding it.
